❤️ First Love Weekly #17: Christmas Prayer of Worship
Weekly post about God in the daily with encouragements from the Word
Merry Early Christmas, everyone! 🎄
The Lord placed it on my heart to pray, so I welcome you to join me with a heart of worship on this joyous occasion.
God, our heavenly Father and God Most High.
Thank you for all that you’ve done this year, both in sight and behind the scene.
Even after 2023 years, your grace still abounds through the sacrifice of Christ Jesus and the love he’s shown in his obedient walk here on earth.
Oh, how blessed we are to find our freedom in your Son, Jesus.
Thanks to you, Jesus, we are no longer held captive, for you brought forth the blessings of Jubilee forevermore.
During this wonderful season, I pray you’d ground us in your love and hold us steady from being swayed by the ways of the world.
Let us remember your faithfulness, God, and your passion, Jesus.
Let us reflect on the price you both paid for us to stand here.
Search our hearts and breathe in us the spirit of humility for us to kneel before you and repent of our ways.
Give us eyes to see and ears to hear you, the everpresent Spirit of God.
Fill our hearts with joy that made David dance like a child.
Help us express love and gratitude with intentionality to the loved ones we’ll be spending time with.
Give us the heart to forgive those who we may be harboring ill feelings against, for they are no burden for us to carry.
Would you cover the earth with your love, my God.
Slow us down to reflect. Create space and time for us to be marveled by your beauty.
Oh, how wonderful you are, the one and only Creator of the Universe.
Relieve the ones in suffering. Heal the ones in physical, mental, and spiritual pain.
Heal our lands and give us rest, my dear Father.
Let us rest in you, Jesus the Lamb of God.
And in our rest, may we find faith, hope, and love.
Like Mary, we shall be at your feet and choose what is better (Luke 10:42).
For you and you alone, Jesus, shall be the center of our lives, now and forever.
With love,
Jae
P.S. Merry Early Christmas! Hope y’all have a lovely time. May the Lord bless you and keep you and be gracious to you and your loved ones ❤️
“You have persevered and have endured hardships for my name, and have not grown weary. Yet I hold this against you: You have forsaken the love you had at first. Consider how far you have fallen! Repent and do the things you did at first.” (Revelation 2:3-5)
